Beautiful Beasts Review

Hey y’all! Welcome, welcome! What a year 2020 was. I’m so glad you’re here.

I have so many posts coming at you so buckle up for a lot of content. We have most anticipated from 2021, broken down by genre. Best of 2020 separated by released and the arcs I was provided. Of course, I also have a lot of reviews coming at you. Today, I have a review coming at you. Thankfully, I got this book from BookSirens in exchange for a review. Without further ado, let’s get right into it!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Retellings are some of my favorite stories. I’ve really come to love them this year, all the different stories with new twists and turns. This was no different. The idea of a gender swapped Beauty and The Beast retelling instantly intrigued me and I wasn’t disappointed.

Following Kallista after she was cursed by a powerful sorceress, condemned to become a beast, you see a girl stuck in time. She’s essentially given up trying to break the curse until a young man name Arawn comes to the castle, looking for revenge.

I truly enjoyed this retelling. It’s probably one of my favorite BATB retellings I’ve ever read. It was fresh, fun and definitely different. I didn’t always see the new additions to the story coming. The romance was incredibly well done, the story progressed at a great pace and the character arcs were well thought out and stayed true to the characters, but allowed them growth when the information was presented. I’m really looking forward to book two!

What’s your favorite retelling? Let me know in the comments below! Until next time…

Safe Flights and Happy Reading Nights!
