Hey y’all! Welcome back!
Apologies for the delay in posting this week. This past weekend I moved back to Atlanta from Tennessee. It’s been a little crazy since then. Unfortunately, the post I wanted to post on Monday or Wednesday was the start of a new series on the blog (book v movie). My bedroom set wasn’t delivered until Monday mid day, so I didn’t have chance to finish the movie and get that out. I’m hoping to get it up tomorrow night for you, along with a bonus post about a new concealer I’ve been loving. As for today’s post, I belive I’ve briefly discussed what supplement I bring with me when I fly, but I wanted to go into detail on what’s important to me and helps keep me energized. I am NOT a professional, so I can’t answer any medical questions. These are supplements that work well for me, that I’ve been using for 6+ months, have consulted my doctor about taking in addition to the medications I’m on and don’t have adverse side effects. Please consult your doctor before starting ANY kind of supplements! You never know if it could interact negatively with your body/medications you’re on. Without further ado, let’s get into it!
My daily vitamins are a must. I’ve used many brands over the years, but in the middle of last year I did some research and asked around with my friends to see what they were loving. I decided on the Olly Women’s Daily Multivitamin. On top of the multivitamin, I also take Olly’s Pro/Prebiotic, Stress and Undeniable Beauty gummies. Even though I eat pretty healthy, I don’t get all the added fiber, folic acid and B vitamins I should have, so I supplement with the extra vitamins. I’ve noticed while taking these I’m alert, I feel good, and I have all the energy I’ve been missing. They’ve helped make sure I have all the vitamins and minerals I’m lacking in my diet. I know gummy vitamins are said not to be the best, but I personally have had no issues and the sugar content isn’t incredibly high. The best part? They all taste so good! I look forward to taking these in the morning to start my day. I highly recommend Olly if you’re looking for some good vitamins!
I use three powder supplements: protein, fiber, and collagen. I have been a loyalist of Vega protein for at least four years. Not only is it vegan, but it’s so tasty! I’m not vegan, but I don’t eat much meat, so having a protein that’s natural and organic is important to me. Vega Chocolate has been my go to for a long time. Now that I’m working out again, I’ve switched to their Vega Sport Premium. It’s been excellent for my protein shakes after workouts and really gives an added boost so I stay alert and don’t drag sluggishly throughout the day (if I workout in the morning). The added bonus is that they’re also gluten and dairy free & they’re available on Amazon, which makes my life so easy! I’m a huge fan of the whole brand and highly recommend them. My fiber is boring and basic, so i’ll make it quick. I just buy the Target or Walmart brand, add it in my water and go. Poof. Super simple! I’m so bad about getting fiber in my diet, so adding the powder with the help of the Olly Pre/Probiotic and I’m good to go! As for my collagen, Vital Proteins. Enough said. I’ve tried I believe three flavors at this point and I’ve loved every single one of them. I take collagen to help with skin & hair health. Vital Proteins is the only one so far that has seemed to make a difference with regular use. I have also purchased their collagen waters and absolutely love them. My favorite is the blueberry mint collage water or their strawberry lemonade powder. Excellent choices and they give my body some extras to keep me healthy!
Now, I only take one pill religiously as if my life depends on it. Halo Beauty Kiwi Seed Booster. I don’t know what Miss Tati Westbrook put in these, but I’m convinced they are true magic. These focus on the skin health. Even since I started taking them, my face has seemed to stay hydrated, even when I can be a little lazy and not do my skincare. I also see little to no redness on a regular basis and my skin seems smooth and happy. Truly, it’s flourishing and I know these are helping. The only other pill I sometimes take is Tumeric. If i’m feeling a little inflamed or sore, tumeric has truly helped ease some of that tension.
That’s it! I’m not big on supplements in general, but these are my staples to help supplement what I don’t get or what I could use after a workout. I have found what works for me and I’m lucky I did. Any questions? Drop them below! But, please remember, I’m not a doctor so please consult your DR if you want to start taking them to make sure it’s okay! As always,
Safe Flights & Happy Reading Nights!
